Ultimately the game is fun the vibe is spot on and I hope the developers get to make a bigger game some time soon. It has that "one more go" dynamic down to a "T" especially as each block move or cut is unique and you can solve each puzzle in any way the engine allows you to. It is irreverent and "different" without trying so hard that it's like watching your dad dance at a disco. The game screams "INDIE!" but in a good way, from the Central American/Eastern European jazzy music to the graphic novel type graphics. Overall, for delivering a fun and memorable experience, I give it an 8. Not the greatest I've ever seen but good. It was a surprisingly pleasant discovery. In the last level, the game actually develops a bit of depth and all the stuff around you starts to have some meaning. You have to get to him and take your underwear back. It is simply this: You are Tiny, your brother, Big, stole your grandpa's magical underwear (and has decided to wear it on his head) and has gone a bit nuts. The story is incredibly simple but gains a surprising amount of depth. If you take this game in pieces, you'll enjoy every bit of it. The game does get a little repetitive if you try to play it all in one sitting. And the checkpoints are frequent enough that dying is far from the end of the world. ![]() No load times between deaths, no nothing. Luckily its no huge deal since the respawns are instant. I'd say 80% of my deaths were these kinds. The movement feels very clunky and when you're trying to inch along a narrow beam, you'll frequently accidentally step too far and die. That being said, one big gripe i have about the game play is the controls. You can choose the paths the developers created for you and drag a block here and cut a block there or have some fun, explore and be creative. Since almost everything can be manipulated, it gives new meaning to "the world is your playground". The slicing, pulling and rocketing is an incredible mechanic that gives you unrivaled flexibility in the game. The soundtracks fit in perfectly with the game. From the open areas bright areas to the enclosed dark ones, the art style never fails to deliver. The comic style art was flawlessly executed. The game play is innovative and unique and the story is, while a bit shallow, enjoyable. ![]() The art and music are memorable and enjoyable. Where Dropbox’s configuration interface is basically a small window with a few tabs and options, SpiderOak’s application looks like this:Īs you can see, SpiderOak adds itself to the Finder window (I’ve placed it just below Dropbox, obviously) and you can see a couple of the directories that I have backing up to SpiderOak. The core application has a much more involved interface than Dropbox. It animates when it’s backing up, and stays stagnant the rest of the time. Like Dropbox, it leaves a a small icon on your Finder toolbar (or in your system tray if you’re on Windows). So the first thing is the application itself. ![]() Inevitably, SpiderOak is going to be compared to Dropbox, so I’ll be making some of those some comparisons here however, I’ll also do what I can to have a neutral stance on features that are unique to SpiderOak. If you forget your password, then you’ve essentially lost the key to the kingdom – you can’t do a password reset. Simply put, your password is the key to decrypting the data. The myth about ‘online’ and ‘privacy’ has been dispelled – leaving an environment whereby it is impossible for us to betray the trust of our users. SpiderOak – in the same vein as Dropbox – is a way for you to store files and sync them across multiple devices (including iOS and Android).īut here’s the thing: Whereas information kept on Dropbox’s infrastructure is kept unencrypted such that anyone – including Dropbox employees – could potentially read the information, SpiderOak’s encryption works so that only you can access the data. My current setup – as mentioned – is the free Dropbox plan (with which I have 6.2GB of space), and a SpiderOak Hive subscription for 100GB. It’s been just shy of two months, so I thought it was time to follow-up with my experience thus far. keeping dropbox free, but everything else is going into spideroak. So i made the switch and am giving spideroak hive a try. Shortly after reading the article, giving it some thought of my own, and taking an in-depth look at SpiderOak, I ended sharing the following: The encryption key stays on the user’s machine so SpiderOak employees (or anyone else) can’t get access to your files. ![]() SpiderOak not only encrypts files in transit, but on their servers. You can increase your productivity when working with the table window by using keyboard and mouse shortcuts. When you paste, make sure you are not in cell insert mode (in order words, that the cursor is not flashing in a cell), so the values will go into multiple cells, not just a single cell. For example, you can take a list from a text editor or Microsoft Excel, copy the values, then right-click a cell in the ArcMap table window and click Paste. If you have a list of values, you can copy and can paste them into the table to populate successive cells. You can also use the field calculator to change the values of a particular field for several records at once. You can edit any of the values that appear in a table as well as add and delete records. You can make any of the attribute changes you need by clicking a cell and typing a new attribute value.Įditing attributes through the table window allows you to quickly make changes to several features (records) at once.
